These bump stops can be found on the drop gates on both sides and rear of single and double cab versions of Type 2 vans. These rubber stops ensure that the drop gates do not come into contact with the body when opened, which could damage the paintwork.

With age, these rubber stops harden, causing them to tear and be lost.

After 08/71 these rubbers become bigger, but you can also use these smaller ones until 07/79.
