BBT’s super driver Gonzo came across this Baja on a parking near Orange in the South of France a while ago. The beloved car is 36 years old, and the current German owner gentleman bought it 31 years ago. About 30 years ago he converted this Bug into a Baja. He’s still very happy with it…
The car’s residence is in the Pinneberg district north of Hamburg, or completly in the North of Germany. and the owner was driving it back home after taken part on the VW show of Cap d’Agde in the South of France… the owner still had to travel about 1400 km north from the place he met Gonzo… remarkable, no? It was a “long way home”….
I left last Thursday to Italy to attend Hills Race Meeting and deliver the bus Robby bought…. driving a bay window over the Alps I never done before so I thought to make the best out of it!
Hitting the road…. the view is way different like from behind a splitty dash!
I crossed the border with Switzerland… weather is bad….
