Man can ask himself why this crisis is more expensive for one than for the other.

This is the most front upper cross member right under the cargo load floors.
This one sits right on top of your front jacking points.
Very similar but smaller than a T1 split window bus front cross member BBT # 0890-58 because of the sliding door rail.

This cross member under the cargo floor is n° 4 when you start counting from the front for your Bay window bus -07/72
For bay windows 08/72-07/79 this cross member is the correct replacement for n° 2, n°3 & n°4.
These are made in 2mm thick steel, exactly as original because of the seat belt mountings.
Other cross members under the cargo floor we stock already;
N°2 & n°3 for -07/72 is BBT # 0890-59
N° 5 cross member for all buses -07/79 is BBT # 0890-58
With this two new cross members we have all cross members covered for all buses built between 1955 and 1979.

Even though we try keep process at reasonable levels, we can only say there will be more price increases in the near future.
In general we hear rumors that our cost of living will go up by 30%, that’s a lot…
We try to keep things moderate and will only raise prices when there is no other way.

If you really want to build the “perfect” Volkswagen engine you will have to pay attention on the cam gear.
Besides the standard size Volkswagen always supplied the cam gears in over and undersize.
Reason for that is obvious… to adjust the transmission between crank and camshaft to perfection.
Volkswagen workshop manuals are pretty clear on this matter, there is no way to measure what size gear you need.
It’s just trial and error, test fit, turn and feel, till you find the best one.
The good thing is that we made the cam gears in 2 over- and 2 undersizes for the 25 & 30 DIN HP, that’s 36 Hp SAE for our American friends.
These cam gears will also fit 2 piece Porsche 356 engines.
Together with our existing standard size you find HERE we have now 5 sizes to choose from.
The reason we bring the different sizes for the early engines is very simple, with no camshaft bearings on early engines it’s extremely important that the camshaft runs super smooth.
Too much or too little play on the cam gear will wear out your engine case too fast.
These gears bring you the solution when just “standard” isn’t good enough.

1760 – Push rod tube – Type 1 engine 1300/1500/1600
Next up is the connector pipe that goes through your rear engine tin.
For sure you know the one that sits closest to your rear bumper and features two similar holes. n each side of the crank pulley.
This connector pipe simply attaches through these holes onto the heat exchanger.
It gives you the possibility to connect your fresh air hose (ie. 1095) from your cooling fan house to the heat exchanger effortlessly.
Bob developed these after he hurt himselves on an original one.
We made those with a conical sides so your cardboard heater tube slides over easily.
This was the first product BBT ever made.

1055 – Fresh air connector pipe – Type 1 engine
Last one for this week is the below flywheel seal.
This one is made of silicone and features a double lip for improved sealing.
The double lip runs over the flywheel on a “new” runway, where never ran a lip before, what gives extra changes for perfect sealing.
BBT advice to polish the neck and runway for the seal on the flywheel before instalation.
We make this double lip flywheel seal over 25 years and is by far our most sold one.
