This stud is used on the
single port cylinder heads to secure the intake manifold and as the 6th long stud of the oil sump plate on
type 1 engines to mount the oil suction tube.
Often the
thread at the end is damaged by over-tightening of the nuts and the best option
is to replace it with new ones.
